Welcome to
Pathways
The Pathways Portfolio caters to Ismaili youth between the ages
of 15 and 18 in the United Kingdom and Europe. The portfolio is
a joint initiative between the Aga Khan Education Board and the
Ismaili Tariqah and Religious Education Board (ITREB) to
engender institutional coherence, and to serve this age group
with educational and faith-oriented resource at a critical
period.
The essence of Pathways is to provide
programmes that foster confident young people who feel grounded
in exploring and articulating their faith and positive about
employing the ethics of Islam in their daily lives. Pathways
programmes cultivate leadership, intellectual growth, peer
learning through the exploration of culture, leadership, sports
and fitness, faith, conflict-resolution, and other key
components, skills, and thematics. Participants of Pathways
programmes will build meaningful relationships with other
participants; broaden their perspective through thought
provoking and challenging curriculum; lead community service
projects; gain cultural competency and explore what it means to
be an ‘intuitive murid’ and an
‘active citizen’.
Pathways Programmes include the Al Ummah
Europe residential camp and the Pathways Weekender.
